Crossing the Equator Friday 9th March

After sailing through Indonesian waters dotted with small volcanic islands we are on our own again in open ocean and scheduled to cross the equator some time today.  There is a new batch of unsuspecting Pollywogs subscribed for the entertainment – hope they enjoy kissing the dead fish!    Weather is hot (30C) and humid – just what you would expect on the equator.  I feel like we are on the way home now, but still lots of amazing places to visit.

  1. Do you just have to cross the Equator (at sea level!!!) to become a Shellback, or actually undergo the 'initiation' to qualify? You could still be an unsuspecting Pollywog??? Px
